The Head of State Sergio Mattarella has granted Giorgio Falconi, secretary general of the Sardinia Grandi Eventi Committee, former Head of the Ceremonial of the Region of Sardinia and the Lazio Region, the important honor of Cavaliere di Gran Croce with the rank of first class, the highest recognition for an Italian citizen. The motivation underlines the commitment and particular dedication, lavished in forty-six years of service, in the Public Administration and in the Regions of Sardinia and Lazio specifically, where he gave impetus to the offices of the ceremonial and representation.

Founding member of the Accademia del Cerimoniale for a decade, Giorgio Falconi is constantly engaged in teaching and disseminating public protocol. The honor will be awarded on Wednesday, December 18 in Cagliari during a ceremony scheduled to start at 10 am at Palazzo Regio.
