The Court of Tempio sentenced Alessandro Marini to two years in prison.

The man, originally from Codrongianos, was found responsible for an attempted extortion against the company that owns Mater Olbia.

The events occurred in May 2015: Marini, according to the indictment, would have asked to participate in the Mater Olbia operation (construction of the private hospital in Qatar) communicating his intention to start a civil lawsuit that would have blocked the intervention .

All the requests of the civil parties represented by the lawyers Angelo Merlini, Donatella Corronciu and Agostinangelo Marras were accepted.

The other accused, the real estate developer Gigi Bardanzellu, was cleared. The Tempio Prosecutor's Office had requested the acquittal of all the protagonists of the case.
