It was a goldsmith's workshop, and for years it operated as a "gold buyer" without any authorization. The illegal operation of a business located near the tourist port of La Maddalena was reported by the Olbia Group of the Guardia di Finanza.
The checks revealed that the owner was not registered in the Register of Financial Agents and Credit Brokers (OAM). The investigation uncovered a significant movement of gold, totaling over 3 kilos, in complete disregard of industry regulations.
An inspection was also conducted against the entrepreneur, allowing the reconstruction of commercial transactions, hidden from the tax authorities, totaling over €160,000. A complaint was filed with the Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office for illegally operating a gold-buying business.
