Marta Cartabia in Cagliari: "You are a virtuous reality"

The inclusion of officials at the trial office in the gears of the Court and its advantages, but also the difficulties: this was the theme at the center of the first stage in Cagliari of the Minister of Justice, Marta Cartabia , who arrived before 10 at the Palazzo di Giustizia for a first meeting behind closed doors with the Attorney General Luigi Patronaggio and with the President of the Court of Appeal, Gemma Cucca .

Then the public debate in the courtroom . Cartabia listened to all the speeches and then applauded the reality of Cagliari: " You are a virtuous reality and I congratulate you".

The Cagliari discussion was the first on the novelty of the trial office: “I gather enthusiasm, passion and dynamism. This is comforting ”.

He explained to the young officials that their future "could be this" even if the financial resources have arrived for the exceptional moment, thanks to the NRP.

The minister also made it clear that officials can have access to the council chamber. The debate began with the other speeches.

“An important moment of discussion on an innovative reform that certainly has advantages but also some critical issues”, highlighted Cucca.

“The officers in charge of the trial office after an initial difficulty in logistical management have already worked on the files and are giving their input. There remain elements to be clarified such as, just to name one, their presence in the council chamber ".

In these first months there have already been resignations by the young employees and their functions still have several critical issues and unclear points as emerged in the other interventions, such as those of the President of the Court, Giuseppe Pintori , and also of some officials.

“Well-trained young people who have already given their contribution in managing the countless number of files still to be disposed of. Positive experience even with some aspects still to be clarified ”, underlined Pintori.

Problems then emerged over the training and future of young officials once their two-year and seven-month contracts were over.

Cartabia continued the visit with a stop in the Uta prison .
