The escalation of thefts in Marmilla continues. The last episode was two days ago when a robbery was carried out at the home of the mayor of Villa Verde, where rifles and money were stolen. A few days earlier another raid in Pompu and in a bar in Albagiara.

In Villa Verde, thieves went into action on Saturday night, when there was no one in the house of the mayor Sandro Marchi. They therefore went for sure and took away a rifle but also valuable objects. The carabinieri were immediately notified and they started the investigation, the investigators also examined the footage from the town's video surveillance system. And in the small town, people live with a certain amount of worry also because two weeks ago the thieves had already tried: they had gone into action but had not managed to make the mark.

The same fear is also felt between Pompu and Albagiara, where thieves have been on the loose in recent weeks. In Pompu, an elderly man who lives alone was targeted: a rifle and a pistol were stolen from his home. In Albagiara, thieves entered a bar and broke into one of the slot machines . At the end of February, four hunting rifles, legally held and stored, were stolen from the home of an entrepreneur in Baradili and even before that, other thefts and episodes of petty crime were recorded in Pau, Albagiara and Simala.

The situation is quite critical, the investigations of the police are ongoing and the control and prevention activities continue.
