Information on the current state of the port of Porto Torres and possible developments of the new works for the adaptation of the port basin. This is the topic at the center of the next meeting of the State Property, Transport, Port and Road Commission, chaired by councilor Gavino Ruiu, scheduled for Wednesday 16 October at 9:30, to update on the state of the art of the works in progress and on the interventions still to be implemented in the port area.
The president of the Port System Authority, Massimo Deiana, will not be present at the meeting, as he is busy with the delicate negotiations with the company that won the contract for the Antemurale di Ponente, the project worth over 30 million euros that is still at a standstill following a complex bureaucratic process. "I believe it is appropriate to convene it anyway," Mulas said, "even without the presence of the Port System Authority, to clarify the implementation of the important works in the Turritano port."
The investments earmarked for infrastructural interventions started and to be started in the port of Turrita amount to approximately 58 million euros, sums earmarked for strategic and significant works such as, precisely, the extension of the breakwater, the resection of the Alti Fondali quay (35 million), the excavations and dredging of the commercial port at minus 10 meters for the enhancement of commercial and cruise reception and numerous maintenance and safety works.
