Who knows what was going through the minds of whoever damaged it? Whoever did it certainly rendered the piano in the lobby of Cagliari's cancer hospital unusable for days: the notes it released, often thanks to the expert hands of the elderly Gianni Vodret, delighted those present, sick and otherwise, almost every day.
But there is good news: "Today we learned that the malice, the cruelty, the incivility, and the pure vandalism that deprived us of the gift of music for about ten days had only one answer," Businco nurse Maria Dolores Palmas wrote on social media: "the kindness and kindness that reached us through the hands, art, professionalism, and heart of Marco Carreras, from Serdiana, who fixed the piano free of charge."
The instrument was purchased thanks to the association Uniti per la vita.
"Good travels lightly and in broad daylight," emphasizes the nurse, who has witnessed so much pain; "evil travels secretly and in the dark. We hope that those who committed such a wicked act will discover how enriching it is to live in the light of day, donating even a small portion of their time and expertise to make our corner of the world a better place."
