The policy is zero tolerance. In Mandas, the municipal administration's campaign against littering on country roads and in rural areas continues unabated, with targeted checks and investigative efforts that are already yielding initial results.

The latest incident was made public by the mayor, who announced the discovery of two more bags of waste abandoned in the town's countryside. Inside, workers found documents linking the alleged perpetrators, including copies of airline tickets for a trip to Egypt . This information will allow them to identify the perpetrators of the abandonment. "In this case too, we will proceed with a report and criminal charges," the mayor explained, reaffirming the administration's commitment to prosecuting any instance of incivility.

The Municipality has launched a full-blown anti-litter campaign, based not only on waste removal but also on thorough investigations. Each item found is examined to identify those responsible, who risk administrative fines and, where applicable, criminal prosecution.

The mayor also thanked those who are collaborating with the checks: Emilio Gessa, the Capri staff, the local police, the Carabinieri, and the Forestry Corps, the latter already engaged in a series of interventions that have resulted in the issuance of several fines.

The appeal is addressed to the entire community. "Everyone's collaboration is needed for a clean town, for environmental protection, and for a countryside where we can live and work without waste and garbage," Oppus reiterated.
