Mandas mourns the death of Ignazio Pisano, a longtime municipal employee with significant experience, including as a representative of the city administration in the central Trexenta area. He served as both a city councilor and alderman in the upper Trexenta area. He leaves behind his wife, Eliana, and his children, Valerio and Benedetta. He was 73 years old and for nearly 40 years was a model employee: punctual, courteous, precise, never raising his voice, and accustomed to solving problems rather than creating them.
Historic and last secretary of the DC of Mandas, during the golden years of the crossed shield he was the advocate of the historic honorary citizenship of Ciriaco de Mita.
"We have lost a good administrator and a community advocate who, both politically and institutionally, has always fought to advance Mandas," says Mayor Umberto Oppus, who has shared with him several battles and political proposals for the town's growth and development.
Footballer for the legendary Mandas team that won the second division championship, co-founder of the Pro Loco tourist association and president of the reading club for several years.
The heartfelt and numerous participation of the community at the funeral rite celebrated in the parish of San Giacomo is a testimony to how much Ignazio was loved and esteemed by his fellow villagers.
