Mamoiada: Thieves flee with stolen weapons

The safe contained weapons and ammunition. The thieves likely knew the owner's habits well, and on Saturday evening, knowing he wasn't home, they entered through the garage and stole the small arsenal belonging to a pensioner from Mamoiada.
The gang loaded the safe into the car where the sixty-year-old was keeping a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun, a 7.65 pistol, and 100 rounds of ammunition, 50 of which were for the pistol and the rest were mixed bullets and for the shotgun. The weapons and ammunition were legally held.
The Carabinieri of the Nuoro command, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office, are investigating the assault .
