Digital facilitation points are opening in Sassari. The launch is scheduled for tomorrow, with the aim, according to the Municipality, of supporting the digital transition by offering support, training, and outreach services at various points.

All of this, according to Palazzo Ducale, is aimed at " promoting the informed, responsible, and safe use of IT tools and services to foster social inclusion and the full enjoyment of the rights of active digital citizenship and digital non-discrimination." Particular attention is paid to the most vulnerable segments of the population , such as the elderly and foreigners.

Where and when . The service will be available on Mondays and Tuesdays at the Punto Città office on Via Giovanni Maria Angioy , with an operator present from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and also from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Tuesdays only. The online service will be active from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on Mondays and from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm on Tuesdays.

Points are also available on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the tax services office in via Max Leopold Wagner , where an operator will be physically present from 8.30 am to 2 pm and on Thursdays also from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

Finally, on Fridays, at the Punto Città office on Via Giovanni Bruno, at Li Punti, the operator will be present from 8:30 am to 12 pm.

The resolution on the issue, proposed by the Councilor for Technological Innovation, Giuseppe Masala, was recently approved, while the service was entrusted to the Profin Cooperative for a year.

How it works. At the Digital Facilitation Point, an operator will provide support and guidance by assessing citizens' individual skills and needs, recording them so they can be tracked with a view to reaching the target at the end of the project.

The program also includes a facilitation desk dedicated to preparing the documentation for the "Resto al Sud 2.0" project 's reporting. "We contribute to bridging the digital divide by facilitating access to public administration digital services," explains Councilor Giuseppe Masala : "Through the digital facilitation desk, we provide practical tools for exercising digital rights, starting with access to public portals via digital identity, in a clear and easily replicable way."
