A large water leak has been reported from the water tower located in the Rio San Girolamo area. Despite the significant spill, no repairs are currently underway, and the water flow continues unabated.
The causes of the anomaly remain unclear: some hypotheses suggest the leak may be intentional, intended to empty the structure, which is scheduled for decommissioning in preparation for the new road construction planned for the area. This public work will presumably require the removal of the water tower, and emptying it could be a preliminary step.
Other sources, however, lean towards a possible technical failure, such as a broken float or a malfunction of the control valves, which would have caused the uncontrolled release of water.
In the absence of official communications, uncertainty remains as to the real reasons for the loss.
