Fewer pills, more cultural activities. It is the watchword that applies at the Unitre in Macomer, which has successfully started the painting and art workshops, also setting up an exhibition, in Corso Umberto (at number 159), where the senior citizens have created, with brushes and pencils, historical and everyday moments.
«Workshops that constitute an essential part of the training offer - says the president, Lella Cansella - therefore an excellent tool for the discovery of our creative identity». A project, that of painting, entrusted to the architect Gianni Gallus, who also deals with archaeology. «These are moments of creativity and fun - says Cansella - to experiment with new ways of communicating and being together. In addition to the painting workshops, we are also involved in workshops to rediscover the Sardinian language, gentle gymnastics and where lessons are also given on how to use the mobile phone."
We also take trips and excursions in Sardinia, in historic Italian cities and also abroad. Now the exhibition - which can be visited from today until tomorrow evening -, where the works created in the laboratory are displayed, which speak of history, with a painting that portrays the historic Battle of Macomer, the city's entry into the Middle Ages and much other, also linked to daily life. Fernando Moccia, Carmela Bosu, Marisa Vasco, Giusy Fara and Gianni Gallus himself exhibit their works.
