This morning, a tractor-trailer truck, which had gone sideways, blocked State Road 131 towards Sassari, on the uphill road near the Birori junction. Traffic was diverted into Macomer and continued to the Pozzomaggiore exit , causing severe traffic congestion.

The accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. on the stretch of highway 131 where roadworks are underway. The cause of the accident is unknown.

Nuoro traffic police officers (Macomer detachment), firefighters, and emergency vehicles are working on the scene. Injuries are not ruled out.
