Thousands of people invaded the town for "Su Carrasegare Macumeresu", to watch the parade of traditional Sardinian masks. They came from all over the island, but also from overseas, filling hotels, B&Bs, restaurants, pizzerias and bars. Everyone was able to immerse themselves in the traditions of the Sardinian carnival, which centuries of history have handed down.

The real protagonists of the event were the masks and carnival traditions of various centers of the island. This was thanks to the great organization, with the Pro Loco, the Cooperativa Esedra, the Donna Zenobia association and the Municipality, which sponsored the initiative. The groups of traditional masks crossed the route, over a kilometer long, between two wings of people, with the passage of the masks announced by the godmother of the event, the folk singer Maria Giovanna Cherchi.

Also this year the union between Sardinian and overseas traditions was proposed again, with the participation of a group that came especially from Slovenia. Thirteen groups of traditional masks from all parts of the Island. Each mask wanted to tell its story. And the public appreciated it.

Among the guests, directly from Slovenia, the Drustvo Korant Podvinci paraded, who were joined by the iconic Sardinian masks, such as the Boes and Merdules of Ottana, the Mamutzones of Samugheo, the Sos Corriolos of Neoneli, Su Bundhu of Orani and the Sos Tumbarinos of Gavoi, S'Attitidu 'Osinku of Bosa, the Maimones Murronarzos and Intintos of Olzai, the Maschera a Gattu and Maimones of Sarule, S'Ainu Orriadore of Scano di Montiferro, S'Accabadora Pianalzesà, and then the hostess, Donna Zenobia of Macomer. An important breath of fresh air for the economy of the town and the territory . Campers and thousands of cars invaded the entire town, with the show concluding with a giant zippolata in the square, with lots of music, despite the evening rain.
