Thousands of participants participated, with significant economic impact throughout the region. Over 10,000 people flocked to Macomer for four days for the 23rd edition of the regional book fair, showcasing books published in Sardinia.

The events concluded late yesterday evening and were attended by thousands of visitors, authors, publishers, and school groups, who attended the exhibition and various related events, which took place in the Filigosa and Tamuli pavilions of the Cultural Services Center, the municipal library, schools, and the Costantino Cinema Theater.

Mayor Riccardo Uda and Councilor for Culture Fabiana Cugusi were very pleased when, from the stage of the Filigosa Pavilion last night, after the performance of "Il disco incantato" by Andrea Santonastaso, they thanked everyone who worked to make the event a success, especially Roberta Balestrucci, coordinator of the Exhibition on behalf of the Cultural Services Center.

The administrators also emphasized the importance of involving all of Macomer's businesses (restaurants, B&Bs, and other service providers), which will have a significant economic impact on the local area. Gratitude was also expressed to all those who participated in the events, starting with the publishers, who were the protagonists of the event along with the books and authors, and the Tuttestorie bookshop in Cagliari, which was present on-site during the exhibition with a vast selection of books for all ages.

The venue was packed everywhere, especially at the Cineteatro Costantino, with approximately 400 seats filled, for the talks with Teresa Manes and Vincenzo Schettini, and at the Filigosa Pavilion for Pablo Trincia and the trio I Terconauti (composed of the brothers Damiano and Margherita Tercon and Philipp Carboni). The talk at the Tamuli Pavilion with Professor Marco Guicciardi of the University of Cagliari, which focused on the right to well-being, was also well attended. Attendance at the school workshops was also growing, with approximately 2,500 students participating.

The increase is the result of the city administration's decision to give schools of all levels throughout the region the opportunity to participate. There's already talk of the next edition. Mayor Riccardo Uda has announced that the 24th edition will take place next year. "If the Region doesn't fund us, we'll continue anyway."
