Students will be prepared for the professions of the future. The integrated training campus is underway, with which the Ministry of Education aims to strengthen the technological and professional pipeline.
The S. Satta school in Macomer is among 54 schools selected nationally and the first in Sardinia to receive €750,000 in funding from the Ministry of Education for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) project "Integrated training campuses for the technological-professional sector," with the "Workshop of the future, skills for a new world" initiative.
This significant investment will create an integrated training campus with four cutting-edge laboratories focusing on home automation, renewable energy, electric mobility, and digital innovation. Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality will be used to offer practical and innovative training.
The initiative is based on a solid network of strategic collaborations with 19 partners, including the ITS (Technical Institute) of Macomer, leading national, regional, and local companies in the relevant sectors, the University of Sassari, and other local schools. This synergy ensures that training programs are aligned with industry developments, facilitating the employment of young graduates.
"I'm very satisfied," says Principal Massimo De Pau. "It will be a great opportunity for our Institute's growth and a significant opportunity for the local community and the entire technological-professional sector. The teachers who collaborated on the project have done an excellent job."
