Macomer is mourning the passing of a person who dedicated his life to others, in the social and voluntary fields, always alongside the disabled.

Goodbye to Marco Aresu, founder of the Progetto H cooperative and of the Astudhan association, of which he was always president, then municipal councilor from 2008 until 2013.

He died last night in Nuoro hospital, where he was hospitalized. He was 76 years old, much of which was dedicated to the protection of the disabled and the weakest. He himself has always fought against an illness that made him disabled from a young age.

In 1983 he founded the Progetto H cooperative, to support and develop local social policies, with the inclusion of disadvantaged people in the world of work, which has become a point of reference throughout the territory, with business activities. He also founded the Astudhan association, again to protect the rights of disabled people, of which he was always the president.

«A meritorious activity in the social field - comments Francesco Mossa, vice president of Astudhan - Marco never held back, always defending with gritted teeth the rights of people with physical problems and more. Macomer and the territory therefore lose an important point of reference."

Marco Aresu fought until the end against an illness, which was added to the one he has always had, which left him no escape. He leaves behind his children and grandchildren.
