The permanent exhibition of vintage radios and televisions, "Scatole di Luce", set up two years ago at the Maart Intermodale, enriched with content and new devices will become the first museum of televisions in Italy .

This is an ambitious project, a journey that the cultural association "Maart" is re-proposing, to retrace more than 70 years of the history of television and radio in Italy, the result of research carried out throughout Italy, recovering the most valuable pieces.

A project that appears to be significant from an economic and social perspective, involving the entire region. The inauguration took place two years ago, and still draws hundreds of enthusiasts to Macomer, with the exhibition set up on the first floor of the intermodal passenger center in Piazza Due Stazioni.

Around 200 devices are on display, telling the story of Italy's history, starting in 1954. "This exhibition chronicles the stylistic evolution of televisions, from the 1950s to the present day," says Marco Benevole , president of Maart and the exhibition's artistic director, "through the years of the economic boom to the present day, with the technology that has evolved. This exhibition will become a museum of television in Italy, thus taking on an important social dimension."

It's starting in the fall. The Maart association is ready to restart with an exciting mix of new and old projects, enriched with new ideas and inspiring insights. Soon, the Maart will restart with the fascinating initiative "Acustica," featuring music, art, food, and projects for visionaries. "Il secolo sottosopra" will return, as will TancaTv, curated by historian Gianluca Taccori.

New exhibitions will be inaugurated. "There won't be any chance of getting bored," says Benevole, "thanks to the many events that will take shape and come to life in the space of the intermodal passenger center, considered the gateway to Marghine."
