Emotions were high in the NICU at the Duilio Casula Hospital, where new parents Mirko and Giorgia exchanged vows in a tender moment, with a marriage proposal taking place among the ward's incubators. Their first, special witness was their son Filippo, born just five days ago, a special protagonist in a moment filled with love and hope for the new family.

On Monday afternoon, dad Mirko got down on one knee and proposed to mom Giorgia, who was holding their little boy in her arms at the time. It was a perfect moment, with tears of joy and smiles concluding with an emotional "I do."

Mirko and Giorgia would like to express a heartfelt and special thank you to the entire NICU team who cared for our baby these days, for their extraordinary professionalism, attention, and affection. We also want to thank them for their great humanity and the love with which they care for the children: they are truly very good and sweet people, capable of making us feel welcomed and reassured at all times.

We would also like to thank the entire gynecology and obstetrics department, the couple concludes, "who supported Giorgia throughout her entire journey: from labor to hospitalization, from the cesarean section to the postpartum period.
