An intervention by Alpine and Speleological Rescue technicians concluded late yesterday evening in Baunei to search for two Austrian hikers missing along the path that passes through Bidonie and Tavara and leads to Cala Luna.
The rescue machine was activated at 7:45 pm by the Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza after the alarm was raised by the hikers themselves as soon as they realized they had lost their bearings.

Being in a place reachable by telephone, the GeoResQ headquarters was able to quickly geolocate them and provide the teams with the coordinates of the missing persons.

The technicians of the Ogliastra station intervened on site together with the personnel of the Tortolì Fire Brigade.

As soon as they reached them, the two hikers, being in good health, walked along a path with the teams to the off-road vehicle of the Ogliastra station which accompanied them to their car.
