A serious accident occurred this afternoon in Lodè, where an eighteen-year-old lost three fingers on one hand following a firecracker explosion.

The incident occurred around 4:00 PM on Corso Villanova. According to initial reports, the young man lit a large firecracker but was unable to throw it before it exploded. The explosion caused the amputation of three fingers on his left hand.

Emergency responders from 118 and the Carabinieri of the Bitti Company responded to the scene. Given the severity of the injuries, the boy was rushed to Nuoro Hospital by Areus helicopter.
