The Ogliastra healthcare system is in mourning. Natalino Meloni, a doctor from Loceri, passed away last night at the Santissima Trinità hospital in Cagliari. He was 76 years old and was on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19: he was the head of the Ogliastra Health Authority (USCA). A recently discovered illness proved fatal. Originally from Villagrande, he had spent his life as a family doctor in Loceri, where he had raised a family.
