Marta Cortis is the first baby born in 2026 at the Duilio Casula Polyclinic. The baby girl was born at 1:51 a.m. in one of the delivery rooms in Block Q, much to the delight of her mother Valentina Pilleri and father Alessio Cortis.
At birth, Marta weighed 3 kilos and 230 grams and was 50 centimetres tall.
The birth was attended by midwives Claudia Meloni, Eleonora Serra, Eleonora Sinis, and gynecologist Laura Suzzi.
Also present in the delivery room was a multidisciplinary team composed of residents Andrea Ungredda and Alessia Saccà, anesthesiologist Monica Concetta Cocozza, pediatrician Luca Bianchini, pediatric nurses Roberta Porceddu and Martina Zedda, and healthcare assistants Vitalia Corda and Silvia Cabras.
