Restrictions on liquids that can be carried in the cabin at Sardinian airports remain in place .

The new rules allowing the unlimited transport of liquids in hand luggage, ENAC reports, are currently applied only at five national airports: Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa, Bologna and Turin .

These airports are in fact "already equipped with new-generation scanners capable of analyzing the contents, including liquids, of hand luggage during security checks ."

In all other airports, including Cagliari, Olbia, and Alghero, the old rules limiting the transport of liquids in the cabin remain in place for now : therefore, ENAC specifies, "they must be contained in individual containers with a capacity no greater than 100 milliliters or equivalent, placed in a transparent, resealable plastic bag with a capacity no greater than 1 liter , and must be removed from the baggage during security checks."
