Free screenings, creative workshops, shows, and solidarity. Tomorrow, Monte Claro Park in Cagliari will host the 2026 edition of Lions Day, a day of volunteering dedicated to well-being and community.

The Program – Sponsored by the Municipality, Lions Day will kick off at 9:30 a.m. and continue until late afternoon. The event will focus on free health screenings, designed to promote prevention and raise awareness of the importance of regular checkups. Patients will be able to undergo eye tests for amblyopia and retinopathy, as well as specialist consultations in breast, diabetes, thyroid, and dermatology. There will also be opportunities to educate about healthy living, with nutritionists available to provide advice on proper nutrition and professionals committed to promoting good dental hygiene practices, especially among children.

Initiatives - Alongside prevention, there's also space for the topic of longevity, with geriatricians and preventive medicine specialists available for consultations and in-depth discussions. With the "New Voices" program, Lions volunteers will collect used glasses and clothing, books and educational materials, personal hygiene products, and diapers for those most in need.

Among the many initiatives, there will also be ceramics and multi-material workshops, as well as activities to promote reading, environmental awareness, and solidarity, including a blood drive in the bloodmobile.
