In Santa Teresa, investigations are underway to identify the person who, according to several reports, poisoned several dogs with a mix of lethal substances (snail pellets and other compounds). Veterinary tests ordered on one of the victims, Liò, the dog, have confirmed the cruelty of the act.

Evidence of what happened was provided to the Carabinieri in a detailed report. The reports appear to be different; the dose of the poison mix administered to Liò was so high that it left the poor animal with no chance of survival.

The owner of the murdered dog, Bruna Naitana, is receiving support from many and stated: "I wanted to thank everyone who has supported me during this tragic time, and all those who, even without knowing me, have supported me on social media with messages of encouragement. I want to fight this battle in the name of Liò and all the defenseless animals who have not received justice in the past."
