"A significant result for Sardinia and for the protection of its strategic interests: an important victory for the entire island": this is how Regional President Alessandra Todde commented on the withdrawal of the bill by FdI MP Paola Chiesa, which, if approved, would have eliminated regional environmental responsibilities in favor of military needs on the island.

The governor emphasized that "the Region's position has been clear and determined from the beginning of the institutional discussions. It was particularly important to note a broad convergence in defending Sardinia's interests. There are issues that transcend political affiliations and require a shared commitment."

Sardinia, according to the president, "proves once again that, when it unites to protect its land and its rights, it can achieve concrete results. Today we recognize a positive outcome, the fruit of an institutional and political mobilization that forcefully represented the interests of our community."
