A huge landfill along the Macciareddu consortium ridge, a stone's throw from the waters of the Santa Gilla lagoon, a protected area.

Reports from motorists have multiplied in recent days, and during an inspection by the Cagliari Metropolitan Police, a surprise arose: the pile of rubbish was created by workers from the company hired by Anas to secure the road (an alternative to the 195, where construction is underway), but they did so after clearing the surrounding area.

An activity not foreseen in the contract but dictated only by a sense of environmental protection.

The officers who arrived to issue fines therefore began a collaboration with Anas for proper disposal in landfill.

An authorized disposal facility will ultimately be the result of chronic incivility, that of those who dump waste in the heart of a wetland that, on paper, is hyper-protected.
