A new wave has emerged in recent hours. Fifty-one migrants have landed along the coast of southern Sardinia in recent hours, including eight minors and three women . The first and largest landing took place yesterday afternoon in Sant'Antioco, in the Sulcis region. A small boat carrying 18 people was intercepted off Capo Sperone. The migrants, including two women and five minors, were transferred to the port of Sant'Antioco.

Shortly thereafter, the Coast Guard intercepted another small boat with 12 people on board, also in the Sant'Antioco area . The other landings occurred during the evening along the beach of Porto Pino, in the Sant'Anna Arresi area. All the migrants were then transferred to the reception center in Monastir.
