Lady Luck returns to kiss the Island . In the 8:30 pm draw yesterday, a lucky player from Valledoria , in the province of Sassari, hit the 301st win at MillionDay , winning 1 million euros .
This is, as reported by the Agimeg news agency, the third millionaire win ever in Sardinia since the game was launched in 2018, and the first for 2024. The previous ones were in Iglesias (9 December 2018) and Palau (16 July 2020).
" I really can't imagine who the lucky winner could be ," Celestina Cabizza , owner of Piccolo Bar, the business that gave the huge win to a customer, told Agimeg.
"We have customers who regularly play MillionDay. We are a neighborhood tobacconist's shop, usually frequented by regular customers, so there is a good chance that the lucky one could be someone from the area . In the summer, however, we also have some tourists. So we cannot rule out that it could be a vacationer," he added.
"We have never had wins of this size. Only smaller amounts, maximum 10,000 euros with the Scratch and Win. A thank you from the winner? I hope that whoever it is, really needs this money , if they want to thank us obviously we will be happy, but if they don't feel like it there is no problem, we have simply done our job", he concluded.
