There were moments of concern this morning in La Maddalena following the collapse of a ceiling on the top floor of a three-story residential building.

Fortunately, the affected apartment was vacant at the time of the collapse, and no injuries were reported. The other apartments in the building did not suffer significant structural damage: inspections revealed only a few superficial cracks, which do not compromise the overall stability of the building.

The firefighters conducted a technical inspection to assess safety conditions and, as a precaution, prohibited access to the affected home until safety measures were completed. The area was cordoned off and monitored in collaboration with the relevant authorities.
