Alberto Danova, master of Sanda, Kali and Muay Thai, owner of the well-established and popular Orsa Maggiore gym, passed away suddenly in La Maddalena: he was 52 years old.
He had come to La Maddalena a few years ago, after meeting a local girl, and had stayed not only for this reason and because he had been particularly struck by the beauty of the island and its liveability, but also because he had realised the existence of the potential to develop his own business.
After some collaborations, he had realized his dream of opening his own gym, which had started off on an uphill slope because it started just before the pandemic, with all the difficulties that this entailed. Once that moment was overcome, in recent years his gym has been a crescendo that has filled him with satisfaction together with the many young people who have approached him to learn the martial arts he teaches.
Master Danova, in addition to taking his students around Sardinia, for comparisons with other regional realities, was preparing with some of them the Muay Thai world championships that will take place in June in Verona.
