The Carabinieri of the Cultural Heritage Protection Unit of Cagliari, with the assistance of personnel from the Carabinieri Territorial Unit of Olbia, executed, upon orders from the Public Prosecutor of Tempio, Gregorio Capasso, a preventive seizure order for the areas belonging to a campsite in Abbatoggia, La Maddalena, where 45 mobile homes located in violation of the permits and several other illegal removable structures were identified.
The Carabinieri found that within the campsite there was a large number of mobile homes positioned within the 150-meter-wide, completely unbuildable zone from the shoreline.

With the assistance of officials from the Sassari Superintendency and the Municipal Technical Office, they highlighted the transformation of the "campsite" into a "tourist village", which took place through the installation of mobile homes with a total accommodation capacity exceeding that authorized.
«Following the investigative findings gathered – the investigators explain – the Public Prosecutor of Tempio Pausania has decided to charge the owners and managers of the campsite with the crimes of building/urban planning and landscape abuse and to ask the Judge for preliminary investigations to
preventive seizure of the areas pertaining to the campsite, including the mobile homes and other seasonal structures located there.
Two people were thus charged at large. The value of the seized assets amounts to approximately €3 million.
