The life sentence for Francesco Massa, 65, was requested today by the public prosecutor Rita Cariello before the judges of the Court of Assizes of Cagliari at the end of the indictment of the trial for the murder of the thirty-year-old cook Massimiliano Lilliu, killed in stabbed in July of 2021 .

The two, defendant and victim, lived together. The attack would have taken place at the height of a dispute originating from an alleged waste of electricity in the shared apartment which became the scene of the murder, in via delle Doline, in the Is Mirrionis district, even if Francesco Mossa had then emphasized that the roommate stole three of his belongings.

The defendant, today defended by the lawyer Mauro Massa, on that occasion had already been sentenced in 1997 to 22 years' imprisonment for another murder: he had stabbed a 19-year-old boy in the throat in Domusnovas because, according to him, he was too fast drive in country roads
