Killed in San Sperate, new inspection of Francesca and Igor's house
The hypothesis is that the bag with the body was lowered from a back windowDouble inspection today inside the house in San Sperate where Francesca Deidda lived, the forty-two year old who disappeared on May 10th and was found lifeless in a bag in the countryside of San Vito.
Early this morning the Carabinieri of the RIS of Cagliari, the prosecutor Marco Cocco, the medical examiner Roberto Demontis and the forensic anthropologist appointed by the Prosecutor's Office, Giulia Caccia, arrived in Via Monastir in San Sperate. With them the lawyers Carlo Demurtas and Laura Pirarba who defend the victim's husband, Igor Sollai, 43 years old, in prison on charges of voluntary homicide and concealment of a corpse, and the lawyer Gianfranco Piscitelli who represents Francesca Deidda's brother.
The specialist appointed by the Prosecutor's Office carried out a reconnaissance inside the house where the spouses lived and took numerous photographs. The intent, from what we learn, is to verify the various hypotheses that were feared yesterday after the autopsy, carried out at Brotzu.
Francesca Deidda was killed with a single blow to the right side of the forehead, inflicted with a flat blunt object. The woman did not react: no particular signs were found on the body, hence the hypothesis that she was attacked while she was sleeping, perhaps on the sofa. We are also looking for the murder weapon, which has not yet been identified.
"We don't have any objective evidence on murder weapons and type of injuries," said lawyer Carlo Demurtas, "the medical examiner hasn't filed anything."
Outside the house, the new inspection is linked to the hypothesis that the bag containing Francesca's body was lowered from the rear window of the house.
Once the investigations in San Sperate were completed, Ris, the prosecutor's consultant and the lawyers moved to the former state road 125 to reconnoiter the place where the bag was found. Dr. Caccia, in addition to having taken numerous photographs of the area, took samples of soil and vegetation.
On Thursday the Prosecutor's Office will entrust the task to the entomologist Stefano Vanin for further investigations.
Today , a stuffed animal and a message appeared on the railing of the courtyard of the house where Francesca lived: "To you Francesca, who loved animals and cats... God has a beautiful future in store for you. See you soon".
