A man was arrested by Carabinieri officers from the Alghero branch in Olmedo after threatening the owner of a tobacco shop in Ittiri with a gun. According to the investigation, the man, unable to pay his bill with his debit card, suspected the shopkeeper had defrauded him . After pointing the gun at the counter, he fled in his car.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers collected witness statements, reviewed surveillance footage, and identified the man, who was later intercepted near his home. A search of the house and car uncovered a veritable arsenal: 1,465 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 12 switchblades, and three blank-firing pistols without serial numbers, modified to fire 7.65 and .22 caliber ammunition. Among these was the pistol used to threaten the tobacconist.

Three other pistols and two air rifles, legally owned by the man, who holds a gun license, were also seized. By order of the Sassari Prosecutor's Office, the man is now under house arrest.
