Ita Airways has put tickets on sale to fly between Alghero and Rome and Milan: the connections will begin on October 27 and will be managed exclusively until October 25, 2025, but at the moment the company has been authorized by the Region and Enac to start selling tickets for the winter season until March 29, 2025.
The "operational schedule", Ita Airways announces, "includes 3 daily frequencies on the Alghero-Rome Fiumicino route and vice versa, while on the Alghero-Milan Linate route and vice versa, 2 daily frequencies are planned".
The start of connections to Alghero "demonstrates once again our attention to Sardinia and, more generally, to the connectivity of the Italian territories", declared Andrea Benassi, General Manager of Ita Airways, "we will be happy to offer the territory the quality of our service, ensuring mobility not only to Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate but also, through the continuations from the two airports, with the rest of Italy and with the international and intercontinental destinations of our network as well as with those reached by partner carriers".
"With this last piece , the picture of territorial continuity of air traffic between the Sardinian airports of Cagliari, Olbia and Alghero and the two national hubs of Fiumicino and Linate is completed ", comments Transport Councillor Barbara Manca, "We have worked literally since the first day of our appointment to ensure that air connections in territorial continuity were guaranteed, speeding up the procedures and ensuring that we had enough time available to deal with any unforeseen events, as was the case for Alghero. Thanks to our decision to call for an open tender for the Riviera del Corallo and avoiding emergency procedures, we have also managed to secure the air connections of north-western Sardinia".
