Ita Airways and Aeroitalia have started selling interline flights , the first result of the commercial agreement signed between the two carriers last June.

The agreement, extended to the entire network, will cover the winter season and the remaining summer season. Through ITA Airways' sales channels , it will be possible to book integrated itineraries with destinations served by Aeroitalia in Sardinia (Cagliari, Alghero, and Olbia), Sicily (Catania, Palermo, and Comiso), and Genoa.

Through Aeroitalia's indirect channels, it will be possible to purchase flights connecting with ITA Airways' domestic network, including Bari, Brindisi, Turin, Venice, and Reggio Calabria. Technical integration is currently being completed to extend sales to ITA's entire international network.

"The partnership with Aeroitalia is part of our strategy to develop connections that will fuel our international and intercontinental network," says ITA Airways CEO Joerg Eberhart.

For Aeroitalia CEO Gaetano Intrieri, the agreement represents "a significant step in the company's growth" and will help strengthen national mobility and the competitiveness of the Italian airport system.
