Despite Abbanoa announcing in August that it would fix the problem by the end of the month, rain continues to pour from a pipe in the street beneath the Via la Palma bridge. This has been going on for four years now, with water spilling onto the road and bike path, forming puddles and mud.

The problem was reported by Andrea Serra, who has long been complaining about what he considers an unresolved leak. Over the years, he says, there have been calls, inspections by companies hired by Abbanoa, and reports sent via certified email to the municipality. The last call dates back to just before the summer, when the company promised to fix it.

In August, Abbanoa explained that the work had been scheduled for the following weeks and that it would be necessary to replace some special sections of the pipeline, interrupting the line that feeds Poetto. This operation was postponed to avoid disruption during the summer months.

But as October approaches, the water continues to flow under the bridge. And for those crossing the street by bike, the situation remains unresolved, after four years of reports.
