The abandoned hangar is ready to be brought back to life. The new "neighborhood house" was inaugurated this evening at number 36 Via Nebida in the Is Mirrionis neighborhood.

The 800-square-meter structure is now home to 15 associations, residents, and citizens. The program includes events, exhibitions, music workshops, English and Spanish language courses, dance and Pilates classes, short film screenings, digital literacy programs, orientation services, training, and entrepreneurship coaching.

«This space will be added to the other spaces available to the city in other neighborhoods. We will also make other investments from the center to the outskirts with similar spaces», commented the mayor of Cagliari, Massimo Zedda .

"The uniqueness of this space is due," he continues, "not only to its beauty, but also to the fact that it's a very large space for a very populous neighborhood, which therefore deserves a place of this size, dedicated to culture, social services, entertainment, and sports, for the benefit of everyone, from the youngest to the oldest."

The project is part of the Is Mirrionis Integrated Territorial Investment (ITI) and the Sustainable Urban Development strategy financed by ERDF and ESF funds for a total of 3.6 million euros.
