Work to secure the areas between Via Abruzzi, Via Mandrolisai, and Via Campeda from the risk of flooding officially began yesterday, with the installation of construction site fencing.
This is, according to a statement, a crucial intervention for the area's hydraulic safety, with the aim of containing the flooding that affects the area, particularly along Via Campeda, during exceptionally intense weather events.
The technological heart of the project involves the construction of a massive 5,000-cubic-meter retention basin. The underground infrastructure will be built in a vast, currently unpaved area, located right between Via Campeda and Via Mandrolisai , and will be responsible for receiving and temporarily retaining large amounts of rainwater.
The entire project involves an economic investment of 3 million 390 thousand euros.
