Among the 1800 students who won the Intercultura competition and will leave for a life and study experience this summer, there are also seven female students from Alghero. They are: Nicole Bebbu , student of Human Sciences, winner of the scholarship made available by the Municipality of Alghero, who will go to Greece for a year, Chiara Piras , from the Scientific High School, also winner of the Municipal Scholarship, who will go for a year in the United States of America, and then Violante Carboni and Erika Marras , from Classico, who will go respectively to the United States and Finland for a year, Matilda Nuvoli , from Scientifico, who will instead spend 6 months in Peru, Beatrice Piu , from Human Sciences, who will study a year in Argentina and finally Beatrice Soggiu, from the Art School, who will live her annual experience in Thailand .

Almost all the girls (6 out of 7) will leave thanks to a scholarship offered by Intercultura, also thanks to the support of companies, foundations and bodies, including, as mentioned, the Municipality of Alghero.

The 7 students were invited to participate in another very emotional moment which saw them involved together with their families: at the Mayor's Office in Piazza Porta Terra, they received the parchment certifying the winning of the program . The mayor Mario Conoci and the councilor Alessandro Cocco attended the event, as well as the Intercultura volunteers Claudio Cabras, Laura Demelas and Claudia Marceddu. <These girls of ours, excited and at the same time enthusiastic at having won the Intercultura competition, are like virtual "ambassadors" of the territory from which they come: they embody its values and territorial culture, and are the spokespersons of an entire generation that brings into play to face all those collective and global challenges that society has passed on to them>, commented Claudio Cabras.
