Seven million euros for island businesses to finance innovative projects. Sardegna Ricerche is launching a call for proposals aimed at fostering collaboration between companies to help them become increasingly competitive in an ever-changing market. Furthermore, the regional agency is launching a training course to support companies interested in participating, thus fostering the creation of new networks.

The goal is to promote the introduction of process, product, organizational, and market innovations, consistent with the areas identified by the Sardinia Region's Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) to increase and strengthen business skills.

"Supporting innovation is one of the cornerstones of Sardegna Ricerche, which over the years has become a point of reference for the island's economic system," said Carmen Atzori, Director General of Sardegna Ricerche. "The speed of technological transformation demands a change of pace, and the regional agency is ready for the challenge with a series of calls for proposals and tools designed to support businesses."

The resources are divided into two main lines: €3 million for business groups and €4 million for individual businesses participating in the Collaborative Innovation Projects eligible for funding.

Aggregations of SMEs established with a Network Contract and individual SMEs that have participated in a PIC eligible for financing are eligible for the Notice.

Projects must be implemented in Sardinia and involve sectors recognized as priorities by the regional S3 Strategy. For individual companies participating in a collaborative innovation project eligible for funding, projects must have a value between €25,000 and €100,000. For business combinations, the project size is between €150,000 and €300,000.

The Notice “ Aid for collaborative projects for innovation” is approved under the PR Sardinia ERDF 2021-2027, Priority 1 “Smart competitiveness”, Specific Objective Os1.i) “Develop and strengthen research and innovation capacities and the introduction of advanced technologies”, Action 1.1.2 “Collaboration networks between companies and knowledge circuit”.
