Fifty kilos of sand, shells and stones hidden in the luggage of tourists departing from Alghero.

Customs officers on duty at the Riviera del Corallo airport found them within a month from June 15 to July 15 together with the soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza and in collaboration with the staff of Sogeaal Security.

A malpractice that therefore continues, despite the checks and awareness campaigns to avoid the impoverishment of the sea. For the "sand thieves" fines ranging from 500 to 3 thousand euros.

The tourists stopped are of different nationalities: Italians, Norwegians, Slovaks, Serbs, Romanians and Spaniards.
