This weekend was also used by the volunteers of “An archipelago without plastic” to intervene and remedy the rudeness of others, both residential and otherwise; and this time not in the smaller islands of the Archipelago-Park but rather on the main island, practically in the center of the same where the presence of an old landfill had been detected (another old landfill had been cleaned up last year in the Puntiglione area).

All of this was possible thanks to the intervention of the mayor Fabio Lai, also a volunteer, who made available a large truck from La Maddalena Ambiente and some of their operators. Several bicycles, scooters, many innocent pipes, stands, water heaters, kitchens, shelves, bathtubs, tires and much other iron were found, in addition to a plastic and wooden truck".
"An archipelago without plastic" has been operating continuously for 6 years, during which 83 group outings have been carried out, on average 14 per year, on average more than one per month, during which over 165 tons of waste of all kinds have been collected.
