To save lives and protect the marine environment by combating all forms of pollution, the Coast Guard also operates at high altitudes.
When the helicopter of the Cagliari Fourth Flight Section takes off from the Decimomannu base, the crew is ready to handle any unexpected event.
From above, on the Tuesday of the week of Ferragosto, checks on boats and potential pollution are more effective. And they will be even more effective during these days when Sardinia's beaches are fully booked : "Until Sunday," explains Rear Admiral Giovanni Stella, "services have been increased."
