In Capoterra, work is underway on the road to Macchiareddu; the first section of the new Sulcitana highway will open in July.

Starting Tuesday, May 26, redevelopment work will begin on the former consortium road connecting the new and old state road 195 "Sulcitana" in the municipality of Capoterra.
The section affected by the works, the Macchiareddu consortium road which will take on the name of state road 195 Dir "Bretella di Capoterra" , extends for approximately 2 kilometres.
According to ANAS, the work, with a total investment of approximately 800,000 euros, includes resurfacing the road, reshaping the gradients, and replacing the horizontal and vertical road signs.
To allow for the work to be carried out, alternating one-way traffic will be established on stretches no longer than 400 meters, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
The road resurfacing work, expected to be completed within the first ten days of July , is part of the completion works for lot 1 of the "Nuova Sulcitana", which is expected to open to traffic this summer.
