The ecological island of Sa Gruxiscedda will remain open until the end of the works on the new eco-centre: this was decided in Capoterra by the mayor, Beniamino Garau , who signed the ordinance that keeps the old storage center in operation located along the provincial road 91 .
The provision was adopted to allow for the storage of waste to be delivered to collection centres, while waiting for the new plant to be built in the Pip area of Sant'Angelo to be ready .
The order signed by the mayor will be valid until June 30th .
It will be up to Teknoservice , the Piedmontese company that manages the waste collection service in the Capoterra area, to manage the Sa Gruxiscedda ecological island , and to ensure that the relevant regulations are respected within the plant.
