A new centenary in Cagliari. Born in the city on February 2, 1922, war campaigns from '42 to '45, medals and honors, including Diploma of Honor, Fighter for Freedom, Knight of the Italian Republic and Médaille de la Fraternité Européenne for saving Corsican partisans. From 1946 to retirement in active service in the State Police.
Giocondo Muscas, on Wednesday, blew out its first hundred candles with family, friends and fellow soldiers. The Councilor Alessandro Sorgia brought greetings and congratulations from the Municipality to his house in Is Mirrionis.
"The valiant Giocondo Muscas is the testimony of a healthy and industrious longevity, inspired by the fundamental values of the Republic", Sorgia's comment. "His was a life marked by hard trials, sacrifice and exemplary dedication to family, work and community."
For him the homage of the commemorative medal and parchment.
